Smarter Heating Control

Upgrade Your Heating System with Smart Control

Entigen provides professional smart thermostat installation services across Kettering, Northampton, Wellingborough, Corby, Market Harborough and surrounding Northamptonshire towns. Smart thermostats such as Google Nest, Hive, Tado and Drayton Wiser can give you better scheduling, app control and visibility over how your heating is being used.

This is electrician-led installation, not a quick accessory swap. Before fitting a smart thermostat, we check the boiler type, existing programmer, wiring centre and control wiring so the new device is suitable for your system. Whether you have a combi boiler, S-plan, Y-plan or a customer-supplied smart thermostat, we confirm the safe route before work starts. If an existing control is not switching correctly, see our smart thermostat wiring faults service.

Tado: Tado installation for wired thermostats, Wireless Receiver installs, Tado X and V3+ setups can need careful checks around boiler compatibility, wiring centres and zone control before a price is confirmed.

Hive and Nest: We can install customer-supplied units or advise on supply-and-fit options where the existing programmer, receiver and heating controls are suitable.

Drayton Wiser and Honeywell: These are useful options for many homes, especially where practical scheduling, room control and reliable wiring matter more than a rushed install.

Works With Most Systems
Compatible with combi boilers, system boilers, underfloor heating and most multi-zone setups. We check compatibility before recommending.

Common Questions

Smart Thermostat Installation — FAQs

Most installations range from £195–£285 depending on your system type and location. We provide a fixed quote before work begins — no hidden extras.
We install major smart thermostat brands including Google Nest, Hive Active Heating, Tado, Drayton Wiser and Honeywell Home. We check boiler and wiring compatibility before recommending or fitting a model.
Yes - you can supply your own smart thermostat or ask us to supply and fit one for you. We check compatibility before installation and can advise on the right model for your heating system.
Our electricians carry out a compatibility check before installation. Many combi boilers, S-plan and Y-plan systems can work with smart controls, but wiring centre arrangements and older systems may need checking first.
A stable Wi-Fi connection is needed for mobile app control, geofencing and voice commands. Your thermostat will still function manually without Wi-Fi, but you'll lose the remote-control features.
A correctly installed smart thermostat can help reduce wasted heating by improving schedules, app control and zoning, but savings depend on the property, heating system and how the controls are used.
