Electrical Work for Local Businesses

Entigen provides electrical work for local businesses in Kettering and Northamptonshire. Our services include new circuits and supplies, lighting, electrical fault-finding, consumer-unit work, EV charger installation and electrical installation condition reports (EICRs). The work suitable for your premises is assessed before a scope is agreed.

Our commercial project at Ringstead Fishery involved a new supply from the DNO point to multiple areas of the site, with over 300 metres of cabling, including underwater routes. See the project and photographs. Tell us your property type and operating requirements; we will confirm whether we can take on your proposed work.

How We Work

A site survey helps establish what is needed and which work can be included. Discuss any shutdowns, permits or specialist requirements before booking.

01
Initial Enquiry & Survey
Share the site address, property use, proposed work and any available plans or previous reports. Access and survey arrangements are confirmed directly.
02
Scope & Scheduling
Agree the work and any exclusions, access arrangements, required isolations and timing. Out-of-hours or phased work must be confirmed for the individual job.
03
Installation & Testing
Installation work is tested and documented as applicable to the agreed work. An EICR is a separate inspection of the existing installation, with its extent and limitations agreed in advance.
04
Reports & Handover
Confirm which installation certificates, inspection reports and other handover records your project needs. An EICR does not itself include repairs, and full O&M manuals are not automatically included in every job.

Agree the Scope Before Work Starts

A commercial enquiry does not mean every electrical or specialist system is included. If you need industrial or hazardous-area (ATEX) work, fire alarms, emergency lighting, data networks or a maintenance contract, state this in your brief so capability and responsibility can be confirmed before any commitment.

Groundworks, trenching, duct repairs, equipment supplied by others and defects in an existing installation must be discussed and included expressly if required. Inspection and testing relate to the agreed electrical scope; they are not a guarantee of compliance for every aspect of a premises.
