Project Overview
We were recently asked to provide the electrical installation for a luxury walk-in wardrobe within a high-end residential property in Kettering.
The brief was to create a clean, modern lighting design that would not only provide excellent illumination but also create a striking feature within the space. The client wanted the lighting to enhance the fitted wardrobes while maintaining a minimalist appearance with no visible wiring or electrical equipment.
Scope of Works
- Installation of LED strip lighting to the upper perimeter of the wardrobe
- Installation of concealed LED strip lighting at floor level
- Installation of recessed ceiling spotlights
- Concealment of all LED drivers and associated equipment
- Design of accessible maintenance points for future servicing
- Wiring and testing of all lighting circuits
- Final commissioning and adjustment of lighting levels
Lighting Design
For this project, we installed high-quality 4000K LED strip lighting to both the upper and lower sections of the wardrobe.
The upper LED lighting creates a soft architectural glow around the ceiling perimeter, while the lower lighting produces a floating effect beneath the fitted furniture. Together, these features create a premium hotel-style appearance while providing practical illumination throughout the space.
Additional recessed ceiling spotlights were installed to ensure the wardrobe remains bright and functional while complementing the architectural lighting design.
Attention to Detail
A key requirement of this installation was ensuring that all electrical equipment remained hidden from view.
All LED drivers and associated components were carefully concealed within the installation while remaining fully accessible for future maintenance and servicing. This allows the finished space to retain its clean appearance without compromising long-term practicality.
